Finding your Purpose – What Does the Bible Say?

When finding your purpose – Many people spend years asking the question: Why am I here? The Bible teaches that every person was created with purpose.

Ephesians 2:10 explains, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
This means that God designed each person intentionally and has prepared meaningful work for them to do.

Finding your Purpose in the Bible is not simply about career or personal success. It is about living in a way that honours God and serves others.

The first step in discovering purpose is developing a relationship with God. When people seek Him, their lives begin to align with His plans.
Jeremiah 29:11 reminds believers that God’s plans are for hope and a future.

The second step is recognising the gifts God has placed in each person. Romans 12 teaches that believers have different gifts but are all part of the same body of Christ.
Some serve through leadership, encouragement, generosity, teaching, or acts of mercy.

Purpose grows clearer when believers serve in community. The local church provides a place where gifts can be discovered and developed.

Purpose is also revealed through obedience. As believers take steps of faith, God often opens new opportunities and direction.
